Eating I can do, but cooking…?

I’ve taken on a bit of a challenge. 6 days. 12 recipes. And at the end of it, I need to deliver some delicious looking photos of a full Christmas spread for a lifestyle mag. Everything from mulled wine to a chocolate walnut tart, oh, and of course a turkey with all the fixin’s. I’m thrilled to have this project to really test myself out, but my biggest challenge…the cooking. I am not a cook I’m afraid. As much as I love food photography (and eating for that matter), the cooking part is a tad daunting. We’ll see if I can pull it off. I enjoy it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the outcome is very photogenic. So, I’m going back in the kitchen to make some pie (well, tart)!

Yeah, it was indeed! It went pretty well. I learned a lot of lessons in a very short span of time. The client was happy with the results, so I am happy. I’ll post some pics soon - as soon as I know which ones they selected for the mag.
