In three words…

So, I’ve been rather uninspired and unmotivated lately. The nagging feeling to redesign here remains and I realise it may be because I’m not 100% sure this design really reflects me. Perhaps being unsure is a sign of something more worrisome, but for now we’ll bury that for another day. In working on the company rebrand (see previous post) I’ve been reading a lot about branding and found a few really great articles from Lea. One of the activities is to have friends, and strangers, describe you in 3 words, so I’m going to give it a whirl and I’m hoping you folks (my two readers) will be up for it. In three words, how would you describe me - whether you know me or not. This could be interesting…

Ummm…

Cute, Geek & Self-Doubting? I know the last is a crap word but it reflects you when you doubt your photos and design skills, which are plentiful.

I’m not sure I’ve been reading long enough to play this game (though I’d echo creative, passionate, intelligent without a doubt). The one thing I always notice is that your tab in Bloglines is hot pink–so spunky and individual, it makes me smile every time. But I don’t notice that as much in the design for this site. That spirit comes through in other sites you’ve done but less so here. And your photos are so stunning. Wonder if there’s a way to incorporate those.

Best of luck. I’m looking at a redesign of my professional site as well and have absolutely zero inspiration for it. I think these things are always hardest when we’re the client.

Thanks everyone for taking the time and effort to think on this and comment. I really do appreciate it. And everyone is so nice:) Heh. You’ve already sparked some ideas and things I’d like to change around here - bringing in the hot pink, or some other more vibrant colour is just one thing. I never thought I liked pink much, but apparently I do ;)

Again, I really appreciate the time and thought you all gave - thank you! This is going to be a great help. As soon as I get a little more time I plan on doing some tweaks to the blog - but for now I’ll try focussing on just blogging more. That’d be a step in the right direction.
